The Base of Networking is laid with the Equipment with Hubs, Bridges, Switches and Routers.
The Hub is a non-intelligent device which can only broadcast one domain in Personal Area Network, Campus Area Network and Local Area Network.
Switches are an intelligent device which can broadcast many collision domains. Switches are manufactured with Application Specific integrated circuit (ASIC) inbuilt future.
The ASIC in switches recognize the MAC Address of the PC, Laptop and Wi-Fi connected to it and helps the external network device for pocket transmitting to DHCP Configured Devices.
The Switches Plays a vital role in IP Management, Internet Speed and Computer Resource Security for a Local Area Network and Storage Area Network.
